The Lounge

The lounge is a great place to rest after a day's exploring. It is comfortably furnished and includes TV with DVD. Just off the lounge there is an additional' 'den' area with books, board games etc. In the summer evenings, you can sit in the lounge and watch the sun set over Troup Head - a true delight!

The Kitchen

Burnside has a fine spacious 'kitchen / diner', equipped with everything you are likely to need. The kitchen leads into a good sized utility room with washer dryer, freezer, microwave, ironing facilities etc. A washing line is also available outside he cottage.

Bathroom and Shower Room

Burnside has a small bathroom downstairs (left), with WC, washbasin and bath.

Upstairs, adjoining the twin bedroom there is a good sized shower room (right) with washbasin. A shaving point is available.

The Double Bedroom

The double bedroom is a spacious room which features an original victorian fireplace. Again, just off the double bedroom there is a good sized dressing room with wardrobe, drawers etc - ideal for storing clothes, luggage etc during your stay. All bed linen and towels are provided.

The Twin Bedroom

The twin room is a bright, cheery room. Again, there is ample wardrobe and drawer space for clothes and the added advantage of an adjoining shower room.

Additional Information

  • The cottage is heated throughout by 'Total Heating with Total Control' electric radiators.
  • It sleeps 4 (one twin bedroom, one double bedroom)
  • The rental includes all heating and electricity costs.
  • Bed linen and towels are all provided.
  • The cottage can be rented on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday - entry 3pm)
  • We regret that pets are not allowed in the cottage, which is also 'no smoking'.
  • Incoming telephone.
  • Good supermarkets are available at Fraserburgh or Banff ( both around 10 miles away) but there are smaller shops in New Aberdour (3 miles) or New Pitsligo (8 miles)
  • Rental rates vary from £275 - £425 depending on the time of year (see 'availability' for precise tariffs week by week.
